The Natural History Museum

We started the day with a visit to the Natural History Museum. The weather was cloudy with a cool breeze, just the way we like it.

As we arrived at the museum, we found out there was a pretty tulip garden in front of the museum. It was a pleasant surprise. We took some time to admire the garden.

Exhibits in the Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum was surprisingly better than expected. The number of exhibits were huge, all of high quality, with interesting features such as robotics and lighting.

From the Natural History Museum, we walked to Starbucks Reserve and Louis Vuitton. I didn’t realise the museum was so near to the commercial area. We went closer to have a better look.

We then walked through Wujiang Road. It was a lively commercial area. We managed to get a table at Butterful & Creamorous, a fancy looking bakery.

Deyuan Lanzhou Beef Noodles

Afterwards, we explored the area further before heading for lunch at a nearby halal restaurant (surprisngly there was one in the area). The restaurant was called Deyuan Lanzhou Beef Noodles.

Songmont on Huaihai Road

After lunch, we took Didi to Songmont on Huaihai Road in the French Concession area. It was a trendy area with lots of boutique and cafes.

From Songmont, we walked along Huaihai Road. It was a trendy commercial street with lots of boutiques for young people.

Halfway through, we decided to get a Didi to join the rest at Anfu Road for dinner.

After reaching Anfu Road, we explored the area and looked for a place for dinner. Turns out the restaurant was closed as the information in Google Maps was outdated. Protip: In China, use Amap as your primary map to navigate and find shops.

After much discussion, we decided to take another Didi back to Nanjing Road area. There was a nice arabic restaurant called Eli Falafel which had tables for us. The food was amazing and was exactly what we needed for the chilly evening.
