For today’s breakfast, we wanted to eat out. We spotted a cafe called The Coffee Club near the hotel, and decided to give it a go. The food turned really good.

Amarin Plaza

After breakfast, we took the SkyWalk and went to Amarin Plaza. There were some Christmas deco outside and we let the kids run around for a bit. We also explored the shops inside the Plaza.

Phloen Chit to Phrom Phong (Emporium)

From there, we took the BTS to Emporium. We exited at Phrom Phong BTS station (which was 3 stops away from our hotel).

BTS ride to Emporium

Phrom Phong BTS is connected directly to Emporium and EmQuartier, both being well known luxury shopping malls in Bangkok.

Imaginia Playland at Emporium

We headed to Emporium as we wanted to let the kids play at Imaginia Playland. It’s a modern play area for kids which techy games. I was surprised to see how well designed the place is. I don’t think we even have anything like this in KL.

Lunch at Emporium

After Imaginia, we had lunch at a local version of Nandos (Piri2 something). Despite the name difference, it suspiciously looks the same as Nandos (actually, even better! haha).

Before we left the area, we dropped by EmQuartier to have a quick look inside the mall. It seems to be much fancier than Emporium.

We headed back to the hotel and let the kids rest for a bit. Later in the evening, we went to Asiatique: The Riverfront. We took the cab there as it’s not easily accessible by BTS. The journey took around 20 minutes from our hotel.

Asiatique is a large open-air mall which have, among others, a muay thai stadium, all sorts of restaurants and shops, and even amusement rides.

I was quite intrigued with the Muay Thai stadium. I didn’t have time to watch it that day, but I would love to come back and see it live.

Dinner at Asiatique

We had dinner at a Thai restaurant, and went exploring the many alleys there. I think we only covered less than half of the place as it was really huge.
