Today I woke up very early (like 6:30AM!) and went to the gym. It was located at the top floor of the hotel. It was a modest size gym fully equipped with all sorts of equipment.

After gym, I had breakfast at the club lounge. The club lounge is an exclusive area to people staying on the 7th floor. Apart from an area to relax, they serve breakfast, and provide meeting room facilities.

Our agenda in the morning is the InnoTrans exhibition. InnoTrans had pre-arranged a tour for us to specific vendors. We visited Siemens, Kawasaki, China Railway, and a few others.

For lunch, we went to Hasir, a well known Turkish restaurant in the city. The food was really good!

In the evening, we went to the residence of the British Ambassador for a Trade Reception. We get to mingle with representatives from the British government and talk about the latest rail developments in Europe and in Malaysia.

We started off the morning by having a video conferencing meeting with our head office.

After the video conference meeting, we went to InnoTrans again. We continued our tour of the exhibits and visited CRRC and various British vendors. CRRC had an interesting virtual reality facility for technical rail training.

For lunch, we went to Piccolo Mondo, an Italian restaurant not too far away from InnoTrans.

After lunch, we went back to InnoTrans and toured the remaining vendors, mainly on smart transport technologies. I spotted the Hyperloop One (website) booth and went to have a peek. They don’t have much as it is still pretty much a concept.

In the evening, we had dinner with the Malaysian Ambassador at his residence in Berlin. It was a courtesy visit by my boss since we were on an official visit to Berlin.
