The plan for today was to have a half day tour of Busan followed by a high speed train ride back to Seoul.
After breakfast, we checked out early from the hotel. Our first destination was Haeundae Blue Line Park.
It was a scenic tram ride along the coast of Busan. We took a 1 way tram ride from Mipo Station to Songjeong Station.
Since we had a bit of time, we went to Hanok Cafe for coffee and snacks. As the name suggest, it is a traditional Hanok house located in Naedong Village (in Gijang district). It’s not accessible by public transport as it was quite deep in the suburbs.
They serve a variety of snacks, cheesecakes, sweets, all infused with Korean flavour along with excellent coffee.
From Hanok Cafe, we headed to Busan Station. The plan was to take the high speed train to Seoul.
Busan Station was a busy place with lots of shops.
We arrived in Seoul around 4:30PM. Another driver picked us up as Jordan was still on the road with our luggage.
I noticed the driver was using 2 Samsung Folds in his car. I really need to find a similar phone holder for my Fold7.
We checked in at Fraser Place Central Seoul. I was surprised to see how spacious the hotel room was.
In the evening, we took a taxi to Namsan Garden in Myeongdong.
We had dinner at Namsan Garden. The tteokbokki was fantastic.
After dinner, we explored the nearby Myeongdong area. Myeongdong is known as the main shopping district in Seoul. There are major department stores and well known stores in the area.
In the evening, Myeongdong it is also known for having a food market. I also noticed there were some halal food stalls too. As we just had dinner, we only bought a bit of the snacks to give it a try. We plan to come back the following day to taste more of the street food.
