Today I am back to my usual routine. I woke up early and had a quick breakfast at Tsutaya.
I just love the feeling of having a simple breakfast surrounded by books.
A bit later in the morning, I took everyone for a proper breakfast at Wired Cafe. It’s located in NU Chayamachi mall next to Hankyu Sanban Gai.
After we were done with breakfast, we started our day’s agenda by visiting Doguyasuji. It is also known as “kitchenware street”. Famous for its plastic food samples and other cooking utensils.
From Doguyasuji, we walked to Takashimaya as it’s on the way to the train station and had lunch there.
After lunch, we explored the shops at Takashimaya. Interestingly enough, we saw an expensive randoseru. Randoseru is a school bag that is typically used by primary school students. I know that Takashimaya is a high end mall, but I wasn’t expecting to see it being so expensive! The red colour bag (photo above) is JPY 99,000! That’s around 660 USD or RM 3,100!
From Takashimaya, we walked south towards Namba Parks. It’s has an open concept with a nice roof top garden. It was very cold so we just had a quick look at the garden before going indoors.
We did some window shopping and then had a tea break at Urth Caffe. The pancake was amazing.
Before we left, I went to check out Asahiya Bookstore. It was my first time seeing this bookstore so I was intrigued.
They had a dedicated corner for railway enthusiasts. The collection was amazing!
Later in the evening, we headed back to Umeda. I was still hungry so we went to Umeda Food Hall. I had the soba udon with tempura which is the best meal I’ve had during this trip.
